Assassinating Aspartame

“When diet sodas and soft drinks, sweetened with aspartame, are used to replace fluid loss during exercise and physical exertion in hot climates, the intake of methanol can exceed 250 mg/day or 32 times the Environmental Protection Agency’s recommended limit of consumption for this cumulative poison.”

Take an excessive amount of aspartic acid, an excitatory amino acid shown to cause serious chronic neurological disorders; add a little methanol, which is wood alcohol and a deadly poison; then add the excrement from genetically modified bacteria, and what do you have? The recipe for aspartame[s1], the ‘artificial sweetener’ found in slews of everyday consumables, from diet soda, to chewing gum, to frozen pops, to children’s vitamins — brought to us by the notorious global conglomo-villain Monsanto Corporation[s2].

The lethality of aspartame is known and documented by the Food and Drug Administration themselves[s3], but we will get to that after this initial charge.

It’s not like there are no alternatives for people to sweeten up their treats: people could use Stevia, organic, raw honey, or a handful of other known, safe, natural sweeteners, some of which are actually very good for you (like the honey[s4]). Given the other options, and given that aspartame accounted for over 75 percent of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA in 1994[s5], we’ve got to ask, “why poison us with this product?” And the documented reactions get serious, ranging from dizziness, to tachycardia, to memory loss, to rashes, depression, numbness, nausea, seizures and death. Why sell this toxoid in Diet Coke[s6], Wrigleys Chewing Gum[s7], Popsicles[s8], and One Source Active Kids Immune System Support vitamins[s9]?

Like the tip of a spear as it first digs in, it turns out that the producers of aspartame are connected in high places.

After the Army Times[s10] called for former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s resignation, and amidst a new ‘Vietnam’ in the Middle East, the American war chief stepped down in 2006[s11]. Rumsfeld had been Secretary of Defense for President Gerald Ford as well, but left that position in 1977[s12] to become President of Searle Pharmaceuticals, the progenitors of aspartame. This move precipitated the re-approval of Aspartame by the corporate co-opted FDA in 1981, after years of scientifically codified concerns, subsequent restrictions and withholding the admittedly dangerous additive from consumer markets[s13] — the establishment ignored the law, Section 409(c)(3) of the Food Drug and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. 348)[s14], which says that a food additive should not be approved if tests are inconclusive. Monsanto purchased Searle Pharmaceuticals — along with their mutant Aspartame offspring (soon to be sold to producers of children’s vitamins, treats, and soft drinks) — in 1985[s15]. Current Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was Monsanto’s corporate lawyer in the 70s; now Thomas rules[s16] in favor of Monsanto in cases where they are taking down America’s farmers. According to Vanity Fair, Rumsfeld earned $12 million from the sale of Searle to Monsanto. As recorded in the Congressional Record of 1985, then CEO of Searle Laboratories Donald Rumsfeld said that he would “call in his markers” to get aspartame approved for commercial markets. These are far, far from the only connections that Monsanto[s17] — and American toleration of aspartame — have to the new Amerikan establishment.

As previously revealed, the FDA has released a bombshell docket explaining the side-effects of deadly aspartame, judging the “drug” to be damaging to the American populace. According to the well-sourced docket, the serious side-effects of aspartame include (but are certainly not limited to) blindness, memory loss, sever depression, sever insomnia, marked personality disorders, nausea, burning on urination, increased susceptibility to infection and more.

The 2003 document estimates that only 0.39% of people who had negative reactions to aspartame reported it to the FDA, and states that “FDA officials believe that as little as 1% of the serious adverse [reactions to the aspartame ‘drug’] are reported.” It cites “chronic, long-term ingestion of aspartame” as the possible cause or amplifier of “brain tumors, Parkinson’s disease, mental retardation, birth defects, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue syndrome, Alzheimer’s, lymphoma, fibromyalgia, arthritis” and attention deficit disorder.

The FDA docket notes “that this is an incomplete list. Clearly, ingestion of a very slow poison.. is not beneficial to anyone who has a chronic illness.”

The damning report continues, “Until recently approximately 90% of aspartame sales were in the United States [according to Monsanto]. Other countries are now being inundated with aspartame, but it will be some time until they begin to feel the full effects of aspartame toxicity on the general population.”

Whoa. Logically, if we allow ourselves and our families and our children to be poisoned, then we literally poison our future.

There must be a better way.

Investigate political and medical publications yourself, and cross-reference resources and sources to divine their direction and funding. At the very least, check out what is in what you are putting in your own bodies, and your children’s bodies by simply reading ingredient lists; it only makes sense to take this latter, basic step to protect our families.

Typically, the less preservatives that are in the food we eat, the better it is for our health. Practice avoidance against aspartame, high fructose corn syrup, sodium fluoride[s18] and genetically modified organisms, as all those things present documented dangers to our vitality and our humanity. These products and byproducts wear away at our very foundation, denigrating our immune system and mental faculties in a dreadful variety of ways.

We must be our own children’s advocates, and not baselessly expect that outside ‘experts’ with conflicted interests have our families’ best interests in mind. This is common sense my people. Taking action in our own personal lives can be the most powerful step; the real revolution — being of life, freedom, peace and prosperity — is non-violent and, firstly, a personal revolution. Make your choices count and spread love, truth, and goodness everyday.

Postscript | In an insidious twist, shortly after egregious errors in the ‘experiments’ used by Searle to validate the safety of their aspartame were discovered by the FDA, the Food and Drug Administration used guidelines recommended by G.D. Searle to develop the industry-wide FDA standards for good laboratory practices.

One common complaint of persons suffering from the effect of aspartame is memory loss. Ever the sardonic opportunists, G.D. Searle — the Monsanto subsidiary and manufacturers of aspartame — in 1987 undertook a search for a drug to combat memory loss caused by excitatory amino acids[s19].
